My mission is to...
...enable scientists and engineers to expand their contribution to the global economy by helping them appreciate and develop their broad-ranging skills and expertise.
I have been helping technical organisations and professionals develop and thrive since my early years as an industrial chemist for multinational technical textile manufacturer, Freudenberg Nonwovens. And it was while working in product and process development that I was bitten by the business bug.
What followed was a career that saw me move into technical, senior and business management roles for TBA Textiles, Federal Mogul, ERA Technology and become Operations Director for The Outsourced Training Company; completing an MBA along the way.
As Development Director and founder of the learning and development consultancy, EH Enterprises I now use my real-life experience and hands-on talent development expertise to invest in our science and engineering talent.
I created the model for a leadership mindset, The Creative Enabler, and the approach to learning and development, The Diamond Effect®, based on personal experience, complementary research and a desire to support technical professionals.
My appreciation of STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) is life-long and, like learning and professional development, they are areas I really care about. As manufacturing launched my career it also has a special place in my heart.
I have been lucky enough to operate across a range of technologies, industries and market sectors. In a nutshell I have gone from boiler-suit to board room and beyond!
